Can you play HL2 & Garrys mod without Steam
Can I get rid of steam and play them like regular games? Cause i wanna play Garrys mod right now but Steam cant connect to the internet... I bought the CD version so i could not use Steam...help me!

From what I have read you need STEAM even for the HL2 Demo! |

If you hit cancel while trying to connect doesn't it just ask you to "play offline?"
Not sure if that's just for HL2 and not for the mods.
