Vote Kick Bug

For those who are unaware, there is a vote kick bug. It happens as follows.

There is a vote kick initiated against Player A by Player B. After the vote is over, whenever a new player (Player C) joins the server, a vote kick against Player A is initiated by Player C. Player C never initiates the vote on his part, but it says he did initiate it. This happens on and on, with the next player that joins the server, until the map changes.

Thought I would let everyone know. If you don't believe, try to initiate a vote kick, and watch as player after player initiates a vote kick against the same person you originally voted against. Also note that the people initiating the kick are those who just joined the server, or are still joining the server, and are not even loaded yet.

This is a really annoying bug. Last night we had up to 20 people voting to kick the person (was it you?). I think some people must have gotten to the point where they hoped that if they kicked the person the vote kicking might stop.

I know I actually voted Yes once when I was trying to acknowledge a Squad leader command.

Yeah, I was the target of a vote kick. I found it funny how the first vote, only like 5 people voted yes. But it slowely increased to like 17+. lol

LOL and I thought I had pissed the whole server off. I couldn't get over it... made the thread about the patch and the red tag bugs.

Unfortunatley there's one setting for all votes. So if we turn off voting because of this bug, it also turns of map votes and commander mutiny votes.

I suggest we do it. The pro's far outweigh the cons. The admins can take of kicks etc. and I never see a successfull mutiny anyway. Surely it would be better to have that than this bug gettting people kicked accidently and annoying kick vote messages all the time?!?!
