Here is the way how to install and update Wolfrat.

Download http://meken.bounceme.net/files/wolfrat.zip contains wr v.0.95 and wr v.1030.


Installation and update steps for the current version of WolfRat:

1. Unzip the primary file "WolfRat-Setup.zip"
2. Read "WolfRAT_Installation_Guide.txt" file.
3. Uninstall / delete any previous versions of WolfRat installed on your PC.
5. Double-click the file "WolfRAT095.msi" to launch the installer.
6. Follow prompted instructions to complete installation.
7. Locate your WolfRAT installation directory, typically: C:\Program Files\WolfGaming\WolfRAT 0.95\
8. Place the file "WolfRAT.exe" in the folder.
9. Right click wolfrat.exe and create a shortcut then copy and paste it onto your desktop.
10. Start the WolfRAT application by double-clicking the icon.
To add a server to connect to, open WolfRAT, go to the "Server" tab, and press the "Change" button. This will open a small window titled "Server Details".
In this window, add the desired server name; connection address; remote connection port; Username; & Password. Press OK.
On the "Server" Tab view, press the "Login" button to connect to your server

Okej, it looks like lots of people have problem to connect wolfrat to the game. i will try to explain it the easy way how to do it here. (For those that are to lasy to read Limeys help file!)

After have installed wolfrat on your pc you need to do change this lines.
(files can be find in the jo-folder)

Game.cfg: find the line 'remote_admin_port' and change this setting to the port number you want to use for rat connections. It defaults to 0, nova recommend using 40000 but you could use any unused port.

Example line
remote_admin_port 40000

Admin.cfg: this file will hold admin usernames, passwords and access rights used by rat.exe, wolfRAT, and wolfMAN. First thing, any line starting '//' will be ignored by the game, so you can add comments etc. Also, unless you want to restrict access by IP or IP range, it's probably best to ensure that any lines containing 'IP_restrict' are commented out with '//'. Adding admins is straightforward...using one line for each person simply enter username password FF. Passwords are case-sensitive, usernames not. FF denotes the persons access rights and this level will give them full access to the rat commands. One failing of the rat system is that you need full rights to be able to send or receive text. If you leave it at the default 3F wolfRAT and wolfMAN will not be able to display game chat or send player warnings and other messages.

Example Line
limeyadmin secret FF

change the line IP_restrict = 198.28.0 to IP_restict =* this line are just above admin/password line.


Open ports in firewall/router for jo and wolfrat (needs full access) There's a great resource at PortForward.com, most common router make/models are covered by comprehensive walkthroughs.

Trial and error, finaly you will fix it.

i have a dumb qestion can i play from my computer when a host a server from home i dont mean serve play.i host serve then i go out and play from my computer i have behind my server ..regards mikael..

Yes just make sure that the proper ports are forwarded and open on your firewall and you have the ip address of your router (the public address then forward the correct ports to the private address of your computer)

ok i dont exactly understand how to open the router to run the wolfrat in the home server .from my computer sorry for that . i schuld be verry happy if you can help me a little more please regards..sniperman

I suppose you have a cable or DSL connection at home. Do you know what type of modem or router you have?

If you are going to play at the same pc you going to host a server on, change the target line on the jo icon to ...\Joint Operations Typhoon Rising\Jointops.exe" /many .

This will do so you can have the pc as a server, and you can start a new game and play on the same pc. This is not the same as play/host as the option are in the game.

If you have a diffrent pc as an server and you cant play on it, change the line mpnovaworldportmin = "XXXXX" in the game.cfg in your jo-folder, if you have 32768 on the host pc, change your to 32769 and it shall work just fine. (You only need to do this if your router are a crapy one, or you have a bad isp.)

ok i have dlink router di 604 .modem dsl 320t.i want to haqve a server running 24 of ouer evry day .if it is possible .i schld rnt a server but i want to put in that maps i want to use i want to change when i want to do that i dont find that server yet .and i think it is to expensive now in the beggining . of my start of the team ..but if it is possible to have server and i can play on my computer at same time it is nice for me and i want to go out in the net sometimes even if the server is running ..is that enable to make thast ..thx for all the other answers . as you now i am a begginer at this ..thx for the help gues.maybe a donate a cuople of dollars to you .lol. offcourse if you help i help ..
