Vista, FH42, & Pixel Fighter

I can now play on Pixel Fighter's server since they've modified PB. Not sure what exactly they did, but I'm happy to be able to play FH1 again with my new computer. Any chance Wolf could make the same changes?

Problem with this solution is that they are rolling back to an old version of PB, I guess that means any new hacks/cheats, etc would always work on their server, not good at all if that's the case.

Bingo, reverting PB is not a good idea

I don't believe PFC has had any major issues, but your correct.

At this time with FH42 with the limited # of players would this help populate the server? I don't see how potential hacks could impact game play with so few playing. But just a thought tho

Reverted so all can play, until pb releases a fix.
To play backup your mods folder, uninstall BF1942, reinstall BF1942, patch 1.61, patch 1.61b, copy the fh mods folder back to the mods folder, exclude the bf1942 folder then join.
Right-click BF1942, change the compatibility mode to Windows 98/Me no need to run as administrator.
Start up FH, join the server.

Is this only under Vista or do we all have to do it? and if we do will that affect us on other servers we may play on?

You would have to switch inbetween the two versions of punkbuster. Just make a backup of pb after you have installed 1.61b.
pbbackups
/pb1.61b/pb
/pbcurrent/pb

Then copy it over when switch versions when you go to join another server.
