Battlefield Bad Company 2 System Specs and Engine Information

I hope you are getting ready for Battlefield Bad Company 2 (BFBC2), if you are wondering what you will need to play the game here are the system specs:

Minimum Frostbite PC Specifications for BFBC2 & BF1943
Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
Main memory: 2GB
Graphics card: GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900
Graphics memory: 256MB
OS: Windows XP
Free HDD space: 15GB for Digital Version, 10GB for Disc Version (BFBC2)
10GB for Digital Version, 4GB for Disc Version (BF1943)

Recommended Frostbite PC Specifications for BFBC2 & BF1943
Processor: Quad Core
Main memory: 2GB
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 260
Graphics memory: 512MB
OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
Free HDD space: 15GB for Digital Version, 10GB for Disc Version (BFBC2)
10GB for Digital Version, 4GB for Disc Version (BF1943)

Now I know some of you see Quad Core, and go oh no, but yes it is that time again for upgrades. If you own a computer or a console, you should always keep in the back of your mind upgrade time will be coming up soon.

You may also be wondering why the system requirements have gone up from Battlefield 2. Well it is a new engine and I am sure many of you know DICE likes to innovate from time to time. Here is a presentation on some of the details about the Frostbite Engine that you may not have known about.

Ya, when my buddy sent me a preview of bad co and I saw the recommended specs I knew it was finally time for an upgrade. I bit the bullet and spent around $1k on all new guts for my tower. I only kept my optical drives and case with everything else being replaced. I also made the jump to win 7 ultimate 64 bit and have yet to be disappointed. I am looking forward to both of these games coming out!

Definitely sticking with the console for this, but it'll be first full-price, pre-ordered game EVER. Usually I only buy used games or get games as gifts.

I think I'm gonna wait till BF3 comes out later next year. Working on an i7 proc and mobo upgrade this year.

Then maybe I'll get a used pc version of BFBC2.

Playing way too much PR these days to worry about anything but the BF3 version of PR...roflmao
