So what are your thoughts on Battlefield Bad Company 2?

So what are your thoughts, concerns, suggestions for Battlefield Bad Company 2, do you see this title as something you will be adding to your Battlefield Collection? If so which platform will you be purchasing it for and where (STEAM, EALINK, Retail, etc.)?

Don't know yet , i'll probably wait till the price goes down and the first patches have been released.
By then there will be players reviews to be read aswell.

I preordered on steam.

I think it'll be a good game but from watching the trailers, it saddens me a bit that they've switched to the quick toss grenades and instant knife instead of having it in its own weapon slot.

What about all the fun with having knife fights that are now turned into who can click first to get into the knife killing animation.

I will get it, on the PC, Steam vs the box I don't know yet. I like the way things are kept up to date on Steam, but don't want to be out of sync with the servers I like, so will decided where to get it later!

I hope that there is an admin tool that works for it, that's one big concern! :)

I don't expect it to raise the bar, but as long as it runs better then BF2, has some well designed maps, and allows user generated content (maps/mods/etc) I will be happy.

Oh, and as long as it has dedicated servers! :)

My real life should be getting better. My kids used to live 13, 9 and 8 hours away so I took a lot of longer trips to see them (MN, NC and DC). Now they are 9, 2 and 1.5 hours so I'll be home more giving me more time for gaming. You may have noticed me popping in a bit more now. Not sure if I'll have time for a new game and I'm kinda stuck in WWII. Give me a Garand and I'm happy.

I have no interest in modern warfare games, and worse lately, in fact i find them totally distasteful. The voice acting, all the steroidal yelling, and the terminator style floating hud icons and tags all over make me want to head over to EA with a gebalt ladung.

IF great mods become available for it such as FH or First Strike i would probably be on board. Bu if it were FH or another WWII mod they'd have to get rid of the hud crap.

I don't play games to dominate and pwn people i play them to immerse myself and have a good time... all that shit is an obstacle to that - just reminding me HEY YOU'RE PLAYING A VIDEO GAME RIGHT NOW!!!!

So far, hate the instant knife. A lot of people on the BC2 forums apparently love instant melee, they also state that they love COD.

With the auto-aim and the movement animation, gone are the days of knife duels, it's now just a guy running in quick stab a guy, wait for person in front to spawn on his squadmate, quick stab again. I saw one guy wipe out 4 people during my respawn timer

i pre ordered it and got the Beta....played about 2 hrs today.didnt like the Beta..a lot like 2142.....die 100 times to get 1 kill.i got 6 kills in 2 hrs! LOL! sure hope the full game is better!
