My Christmas was ruined by terrorists.

Stepdad is the Media Relations Director for Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)

He got called in at noon while they were still declaring a stage 2 (smoke in the cabin) in the air. By the time he got thre it was a mess...

The SAC for the FBI was in Dayton Ohio and had to get back to Detroit in bad weather, the media caught up with the story around 3:30pm.

He's STILL not home as of 5:00am.

Our $60 roast got ruined holding out hope he'd come home. Lots of traditions down the drain, like him telling jokes, doing weird tricks with the logs in the fireplace... our whole after-dinner new DVD movie bit. Everything was off. I'm demanding a do-over.

BUT, I DO get to say "Terrorists ruined my Christmas."

That's gonna get me some mileage all week.

I just read this and i am glad that the terrorist was a bit clumsy and only hurt himself.
I am sorry that your christmas was ruined , just pick a date and pretend it to be christmas so you might enjoy the day then.
